All of us have this internal battle. Are we going to choose the good in us or the evil in us? Its a battle for our hearts.

Have you noticed that more men are curious and are asking questions about what it takes to follow Christ—to join His army? For the call of Christ is in our DNA—and in these times men’s true desires are rising to the surface. God is up to something very special in this generation. But the way of God seems blurry and hard to find.

The resounding question is, “What is a Man.” Men are torn between continuing to follow in the footsteps of the first Adam or pursue the model set our by the second Adam (1 Cor 15:45).

These are the two destinies we face as men. We can choose the emptiness of the first model or the freedom contained in the second model. Comparison of the two models reveals four distinct characteristics: passivity versus activism, acceptance or rejection of our God-given responsibilities, choosing to lead courageously or not, and striving for a reward or expecting the greater reward. The choices we make in these four areas determine whether we follow in the empty footsteps of the first Adam or enjoy the empowered living of the second Adam.

Are then men of Edgewater ready to recover their biblical manhood and help their brothers in Christ do the same?

I get it, I understand, I know where I am in time.
I know what you are doing in my generation and I know what my role is.

I am determined to be a man of courage in your army and I am called to raise up men of courage. Strong men, Men who are equipped, Men who are able. Men who are well trained to make the world to an easy place from which to go to heaven.

Tigers spokesman Brian Britten said the Tigers learned of Harwell’s death from his agent.

“Whatever happens, I’m ready to face it,” Harwell told The Associated Press on Sept. 4, 2009. “I have a great faith in God and Jesus.”

“In my almost 92 years on this Earth, the good Lord has blessed me with a great journey,” Harwell said at a microphone behind home plate. “The blessed part of that journey is that it’s going to end here in the great state of Michigan.”

Harwell died Tuesday at his home in Novi, about 30 miles northwest of Detroit, according to the Detroit Free Press. The Tigers did not have additional details about his death.

Men were created to live dangerous, adventurous lives, to live boldly in everything they do. You know this because God created you in His image, and He is all powerful. In fact the Bible says that “Warrior” is His name.

• See yourself as a godly warrior and not as a religious wimp.
• Believe that you were created in the image of almighty God.
• Recognize God as your source of strength.
• Approach every day looking for opportunities to win rather than looking for ways to simply survive.
• Align yourself with other men who are living courageous lives for God.
• Keep hope at the front of your mind at all times, expecting to be victorious through God’s strength.
