God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect. — 2 Samuel 22:33 (NLT)

For most men, the pursuit of strength begins in childhood. It’s the result of a man’s God-given instinct to be self-sufficient and able to defend himself and others. So where should a man look for strength? Where do you look?

Here are a few suggestions:

Accept the fact that you have weaknesses.

Allow God to show you where you need His strength.

Believe that God will empower you when you are weak.

Accept God’s strength in your life.

Remind yourself that you are not alone in your struggles.

Realize spiritual strength building is a long-term process.

Release your will to God.

I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. — Psalm 18:1-2 (NLT)
